Our 24-hour support team is the backbone of our home, providing essential care for children and young people with additional needs. Our dedicated Residential Support Workers (RSWs), overseen by Senior Support Workers and our Registered Manager, offer personalized care based on individual needs. The Registered Manager ensures smooth daily operations, works with external agencies, and upholds regulatory responsibilities. Recruitment of Staff
Our home has a comprehensive recruitment policy with regards to the safe recruitment of staff. This is to ensure that all staff are treated in an equal manner and a clear process in place. There is a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that all prospective staff have all the checks required to ensure the protection of children. All members of staff must have checkable work history and be able to provide three checkable references, including current employer. Reference verification checks are also undertaken for any role that involves working with children or vulnerable adults. All applicants have enhanced DBS checks in place that are renewed regularly.

Working Patterns
Staff shift patterns operate over a 24hr period at all times. Shifts will generally be long days with/without sleep with wake nights as when required by the resident Children and young people. The working rota allows for a 30-minute structured staff handover. Shift working patterns are provided to all members of staff electronically and a paper base copy placed on staff notice boards. A Senior or allocated Shift Leader will be available on every shift to support Children and Young people and staff. Management will also operate a nightly duty on-call rota in cases of emergencies that need to be dealt with as soon as possible regardless of the time.
